Dr. Nathaniel Philip Cohen MD has 16 years of experience and practices in Orthopaedic Surgery, Sports Medicine, Surgery, Sports Medicine, Hematology & Oncology, and Medical Oncology.
Dr. Nathaniel Cohen is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, specializing in sports medicine, shoulder reconstruction, and arthroscopic treatment of shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and ankle conditions. He has an added subspecialty certificate from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Cohen graduated from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, with a BA cum laude with a degree in Russian and East European Studies. Following college, he obtained his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. While in New York, Dr. Cohen completed a general surgery internship and orthopedic residency program at Columbia University. Web Tested
After completing his residency, he completed his orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.
Dr. Cohen is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, through which he also has his certificate of added qualification in sports medicine.
When Dr. Cohen is not seeing patients at Northern California Orthopedic Specialists, developing new medical devices, or on the sidelines at a football game, he enjoys spending his free time with his kids, playing golf, hiking, and sea kayaking. He also enjoys geocaching and photography.
