Breast Care Center services
Women 40 years old and older should receive annual mammograms to assess for any changes in their breasts that may not be felt or seen. Our Breast Care Center at Mission Oaks Medical Plaza offers a variety of breast imaging services so you can receive these and other screenings you need to maintain your breast health. For example, we offer screening mammograms, 3D mammograms, breast ultrasounds and computer-aided detection. Additionally, if an abnormality is identified on a screening or diagnostic imaging exam, we perform biopsies in-house to form an accurate diagnosis.
To schedule a mammogram, please call our Centralized Scheduling Department at (855) 495-1753.
Good Samaritan Hospital is recognized by the American College of Radiology as a designated Breast Imaging Center of Excellence and is acknowledged by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers as an Accredited Breast Center.
Breast cancer care
If you receive a breast cancer diagnosis after a biopsy or imaging exam, we are here to help you determine your next steps and treatment options. We have a dedicated breast cancer nurse navigator who will help you and your family understand your treatment options and provide emotional support.
Breast cancer treatment options offered at our hospital include:
- Advanced hormone therapy
- Breast reconstructive surgery
- Radiation therapy
Women's bone density screening
The Breast Care Center also offers bone density screening. This type of screening is performed through a dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) scan. When examining the results of a DEXA scan, our radiologists can measure bone loss.
This is most often used in the diagnosis of osteoporosis and osteopenia, which are common in older women. These conditions are characterized by a loss of bone mass that leads to weaker bones that are more susceptible for fractures.
Hospital for labor and delivery
Our birthing center provides a safe, comfortable childbirth experience for you and your baby. Our highly trained obstetrics team in our labor and delivery department also offers advanced care for your child in our neonatal intensive care unit if they require extra medical attention after birth.
We are also here for you and your partner from prenatal services to postpartum care. This includes maternity classes to help expectant parents prepare for life with their newborn and tours of our labor and delivery unit. Additionally, lactation consultants are available to provide assistance as you begin breastfeeding.

This is designed for women who need extra support prior to delivery or soon after birth due to feelings of depression, anxiety and hopelessness. Our IOP helps women learn ways to reduce stress and improve their symptoms.
