Breast Care Center services

Women 40 years old and older should receive annual mammograms to assess for any changes in their breasts that may not be felt or seen. Our Breast Care Center at Mission Oaks Medical Plaza offers a variety of breast imaging services so you can receive these and other screenings you need to maintain your breast health. For example, we offer screening mammograms, 3D mammograms, breast ultrasounds and computer-aided detection. Additionally, if an abnormality is identified on a screening or diagnostic imaging exam, we perform biopsies in-house to form an accurate diagnosis.

Schedule a Mammogram

You can now schedule a screening mammogram online. For assistance scheduling your screening or diganostic mammogram please call 855-495-1753.

Breast cancer care

If you receive a breast cancer diagnosis after a biopsy or imaging exam, we are here to help you determine your next steps and treatment options. We have a dedicated breast cancer nurse navigator who will help you and your family understand your treatment options and provide emotional support.

Breast cancer treatment options offered at our hospital include:

  • Advanced hormone therapy
  • Breast reconstructive surgery
  • Lumpectomy
  • Mastectomy
  • Radiation therapy

Women's bone density screening

The Breast Care Center also offers bone density screening. This type of screening is performed through a dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) scan. When examining the results of a DEXA scan, our radiologists can measure bone loss.

This is most often used in the diagnosis of osteoporosis and osteopenia, which are common in older women. These conditions are characterized by a loss of bone mass that leads to weaker bones that are more susceptible for fractures.

Hospital for labor and delivery
