Good Samaritan Hospital is bringing the Silicon Valley community together on June 15 to honor a group of inspiring cancer survivors treated at the hospital. The Cancer Survivor Celebration includes a special reception and a community talk about the latest cancer innovations, oncology rehab options and side effect management.

The event takes place at 6 p.m. at the Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center, located at 14855 Oka Road in Los Gatos. Attendees can participate in a raffle, and will be treated to wine and hors d’oeuvres.

The community talk will be led by Good Samaritan Hospital’s Elwyn Cabebe, MD, Chair of the Cancer Care Committee and Medical Director of Oncology and Rakesh Patel, MD, Medical Director of Radiation Oncology. A keynote address will be delivered by UCSF School of Nursing’s Christine Miaskowski, RN, PhD, FAAN.

“Patients in the San Jose area know that Good Samaritan Hospital is a premier choice for cancer care,” said Dr. Cabebe. “Our cancer team is nationally recognized for its top quality care, and our board-certified cancer specialists offer the most innovative and technology-rich treatment options.
