Get to Know Our Topnotch Team and Facility

Good Samaritan Hospital is staffed by leading obstetricians, gynecologists, anesthesiologists, and neonatologists on our Level 3 NICU. You can enjoy your stay in one of our private rooms with our caring nursing staff standing by. We use electronic security monitoring systems to keep your baby safe and well-protected.

Though you can only have two visitors at a time in your room, the waiting area between labor and delivery and the NICU is very spacious. Visiting hours are from 2:00pm to 8:00pm, allowing ample time for family and friends to come see your beautiful new baby.

What to Expect When You Check In

You can pre-register online through our website. Before arriving, you may want to think about what comforts from home you might want to bring. While our Silicon Valley hospital can provide many of the amenities you might need, there are some special considerations you should keep in mind.

Some of the items you may think about bringing include:

  • Camera
  • Music
  • Gown or pajamas
  • Change of clothes
  • Robe
  • Toiletries
  • Blanket for your baby
  • Car seat to bring baby home

It is important to note that the law requires you to have the car seat ready when you leave for home. Should you require any other items, we do have a store on-site that carries nursing items, such as nursing bras, breast pumps, newborn clothes, and books.

Supporting You During Labor, Delivery, & Beyond

We allow you to bond with your baby during what is known as the "Golden Hour," the time when your baby becomes acquainted to you through skin-to-skin contact. This can also give you the opportunity to begin breastfeeding and receive guidance from one of our lactation consultants, if you choose to do so.
