A Higher Level of Care

For patients with critical illnesses or complex medical conditions, we provide specialized care in our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This unit has advanced capacities and increased nursing resources to meet the urgent needs of critically ill children.

Physicians in this unit are pediatric intensivists, specially trained in treating the sickest children. The unit also has innovative technology and equipment that allows us to provide the best possible care to your child.

We have a specially trained team of the following read to assist your child:

  • Nurses
  • Respiratory therapists
  • Clinical technicians
  • Case managers
  • Social workers

When you come to us, you will quickly realize that our medical team is completely devoted to your child's recovery. Not only that, but we strive to build a partnership with parents in regards to developing a plan for your child's future medical care and transition to home when the time comes.

Good Samaritan Hospital is dedicated to treating your child with the highest level of care.

Visitor Policy for PICU

To protect pediatric patients, visitor policies for this unit are more stringent than the main Pediatrics Unit. Your child's PICU team will advise you on the specific requirements for visiting PICU patients. Flowers are not permitted on the unit.

As an award-winning and highly acclaimed hospital, we make sure to go above and beyond to provide your child with exceptional treatment and care. We truly believe that healthy children are a crucial part of our community, which is why we strive to give your child a full and comprehensive recovery.
