We Deliver Small Wonders
Good Samaritan Hospital is proud to offer the safety and security of a Level III NICU. After a very busy two weeks in Labor and Delivery, Good Sam’s first baby of the new year didn’t arrive until almost lunch time on New Year’s Day. But Payton Hahn is treasured by her family and welcomed in her community.
The Hahns are a fully committed Good Sam family—they had their first child here two years ago and came back for Payton’s delivery even though they moved to Gilroy.
Read about Payton and her parents.
At Good Samaritan Hospital, we believe every birth is a special one. That's why we have designed our birthing center to meet the individualized needs of you and your family - and installed state-of-the-art technology to ensure a safe delivery. With highly trained neonatal intensive care and obstetrical teams available 24 hours a day, we are always prepared for any type of birth, whether routine or high-risk.
Our parents know that not every hospital has such high standards for both safety and patient satisfaction - that's why they choose us again and again, whether it's their first birth or their fifth. We're proud of our reputation in the community as the hospital of choice for maternity care, and that parents continue to recognize us year after year as one of the "Best Places to Have a Baby," according to Bay Area Parent magazine.
At Good Samaritan, you'll see that our labor and delivery suites have all the comforts of home, including private bathrooms and comfortable furnishings. Mother and baby share the same room after delivery so you can strengthen the bond between you.
We want each family's experience to meet their specific needs and desires for their birth experience. That's one reason we are pleased to welcome Certified Nurse Midwives to the obstetrical team, making this choice available to Good Sam families.
For parents with babies in the NICU, ACCESS offers services including food and sibling child-care during NICU visits, local overnight accommodations, as well as transportation and bilingual educational resources.
