Good Samaritan Hospital is proud to offer the safety and security of a Level III NICU. After a very busy two weeks in Labor and Delivery, Good Sam’s first baby of the new year didn’t arrive until almost lunch time on New Year’s Day. But Payton Hahn is treasured by her family and welcomed in her community.

The Hahns are a fully committed Good Sam family—they had their first child here two years ago and came back for Payton’s delivery even though they moved to Gilroy.

With highly trained neonatal intensive care and obstetrical teams available 24 hours a day, we are always prepared for any type of birth, whether routine or high-risk.

At Good Samaritan, you'll see that our labor and delivery suites have all the comforts of home, including private bathrooms and comfortable furnishings. Mother and baby share the same room after delivery so you can strengthen the bond between you.

We want each family's experience to meet their specific needs and desires for their birth experience. That's one reason we are pleased to welcome Certified Nurse Midwives to the obstetrical team, making this choice available to Good Sam families.

For parents with babies in the NICU, ACCESS offers services including food and sibling child-care during NICU visits, local overnight accommodations, as well as transportation and bilingual educational resources.
