Surgical Weight Loss Program
Helping to Restore Quality of Life
Welcome to the Surgical Weight Loss Program at Good Samaritan Hospital. Our goal is to restore the quality of life for patients suffering from severe obesity. With the support of our comprehensive surgical weight loss program, patients regain hope.
The program offers a multidisciplinary team of professionals to educate and support you before, during and after your surgery. This team includes dieticians, physical therapists, marriage and family therapists, a registered nurse and a life coach - staying involved in a support group is important to long term success. Our surgeons are members of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery.
In June 2006,Good Sam's Weight Loss Surgery Program earned the Center of Expertise designation from Blue Cross of California.
Bariatric surgery requires a lifetime commitment to conscious choices regarding nutrition, lifestyle and exercise regimes in order to obtain optimal health and wellness. With the latest in medical technology, the highest standards of practice and compassionate care, Good Samaritan is here to help.
Participating in a support group is a great way to learn more about success strategies, and we recommend patients participate even before their procedures.
